- I am a junior studying civil engineering at UW-Madison. I was born and raised in Wisconsin and love to travel! I have driven to California, Florida, South Dakota, Mississippi and have plans to continue my adventures. I also studied abroad in Bahrain for 6 weeks and lived with people from many other countries while I was there. I am a very friendly person who loves to meet new people, see new places and have new experiences.

You will never really know what makes a city great unless you interact with local people, and that's why I joined. To meet locals who can share stories with me, and to help people experience everything there is to do in Madison, WI.

Interests

I am a big sports fan. Packers, Brewers and Badgers are the obvious ones. Being from Wisconsin I am also a fan of good beer and good cheese. I find spending time outside and bike riding very enjoyable and love going to music festivals and concerts.

Music, Movies, and Books

I am a big folk/indie rock fan, but am pretty open to all types of music. The Avett Brothers and The head and the Heart kind of set the tone for my interests, along with classics like The Beatles, Elton john and Queen.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Spending 6 weeks in Bahrain (a country I had never previously heard of)! I did not know anyone when I went and had only talked to one person from the country. I lived in a villa with students from the US, Asia, Europe and pretty much anywhere else you can think of. I gave talks to local high school students on leadership and college life and made amazing friends and memories.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am a extremely friendly person and can promise good conversations and stories, not to mention some good Wisconsin cheese and beer. I am also extremely tidy and respectful to those who welcome me into their homes.
