After working as an energy and environmental lawyer in Washington, DC, I quit to work for myself. My goal is to hike the best long distance trek on each continent, while experiencing all the amazing things that the world has to offer. You can learn more about me here: www.7trails.com.

So far, I've only been able to participate as a traveler. I'm looking forward to becoming more involved in the community.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Only one as yet. I had a great stay with Nicolas in Chamonix, France. I'd love to have more experiences like it . I can't wait to meet more of the interesting people in the community.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Sailed across the Atlantic Ocean.
Hiked across New Zealand's South Island.
Worked as an advisor to the Government of the Republic of Georgia.
Climbed Mount Chimborazo (Ecuador).
Trekked to Everest Base Camp.
Worked at a law firm for 7 years without going (totally) crazy.
Skippered a month-long sailing cruise in the Balkans (Montenegro, Croatia).

Teach, Learn, Share

I travel because it is such a great way to learn about yourself and the amazing world around. I've met so many great people who have opened my eyes to new ideas, experiences and cultures.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm always there for a friend in need, whether it's having a good time on a hike or a fun night out, or helping them fall asleep using a detailed discussion of climate change policy.
