About me....well I'm an American through and through and love me some (and all) things sports. I talk sports, write sports, play sports and live sports. I also love to travel and I work as a Sports play by play Broadcaster, DJ, and writer in the Mile High City of Denver, CO! I come from a family of ten kids (not Mormon) and grew up on a farm on the Eastern plains. I love to travel and most recently spend 3 1/2 months in New Zealand (Check out the blog I had www.exploringmiddleearth.com)

I'm also an avid singer (not rock but choral music) and I am typically a talker....Soon I should have a place open for hosting couchsurfers but right now I'm still travelling!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I did it through NZ and it was a GREAT way to meet the real people of a country and experience places a travel guide could never show you. I've met some great people and have shared some amazing experiences with folks I've stayed with. Once I have a bigger place I would love to host and share part of my life with travelers from around the globe!

Interests

As I said in the about me....I am obsessed with American sports (mainly football, baseball, basketball) but I also enjoy learning other sports like soccer and rugby. I play sports (primarily football and volleyball) and love spending time in the Colorado great outdoors.

I love my big family (though I'm the only one left in CO :( ) and I spend a lot of my time lately in DJing and broadcasting high school sports.

I'm not a HUGE skier but I used to go on occasion and would be glad to show people around the state that I love!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music I love a mix of things and as a DJ it's a big part of my job. I listen most to folk rock (Monsters and Men type stuff) and Irish folk. I do love some classic rock, old hip-hop and even some of the new stuff.

Movies...I'm a nerd. I LOVE the Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit and spent most of my time in NZ touring the film locations. I also love the original Star Wars (Han Solo is the greatest character of all time) and other manly movies like Gladiator, Braveheart....I have to admit though that I have a soft spot for Chick Flicks and one of my all time favorite movies is Emma with Gwyneth Paltrow. (Don't judge)

Books I also love LOTR, loved Dracula and Count of Monte Cristo. I have read lots and lots of books.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I shook the hand of Prince William in Wellington, NZ. Right place right time I suppose...hehe but of all the things that sound good that's one. I also played a bit of Semi-pro football and that sounds pretty legit to most people.

Teach, Learn, Share

Well people travel to experience a new place and new people and that's what I'm all about. For people visiting here to show them the real America and not just the stereotypes that people see on television. For traveling I like to share as much of who I am and where I come from as possible. I want to talk about the differences between American football and futbal! ;) Or non sports topics....

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can offer a smile and an American friendliness and willingness to talk. I love talking and could go on for hours and hours on nearly any subject. I also love listening and learning about people and places and history. (I LOVE HISTORY) As for what else I offer, I am good help around the house and have muscles to to get some tough work done (even if that's not what CS is all about)
