About Me

Hi there all !

I'm Kev ! Or on my Facebook which some people find quite confusing it's Caoimhín which is the Irish language version of Kevin. I use it for couple of reasons but primarily because I went to a Irish/Gaelic speaking primary school, and it's sense of cultural pride I guess ! I'm 25 years old and I hail from the western part of Ireland although spent last 5 years in Dublin studying and working.

I'm a graduate of a industrial design course from the Dublin city art college -NCAD. I graduated a little over a year ago and then had a job working as a scale architectural model maker for 9 months. So I'm quite interested in all forms of designs from graphics to UX to products to architecture. Also love tumblr blogs and art + design websites alongside tech and gadgets. My Instagram is meltedlaughter if you wish to have a gander.

I'm a pretty lovable lad , who will always do his best to help out when needed. Although I do have a tendency to be over apologetic, it just is something in my nature. Very grateful for the help and gestures of others always.

I doodle and sketch a lot as you might imagine! And I have quite a love for board games ! If you have cards against humanity ! Or even better still the design edition ! Make sure we arrange a game with a gang .

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've always wanted to couch surf as a way to meet new note resting folk in a various different settings. I find seeing people in their homes really interesting! I've heard so many good things from lots of friends and random travelling counters!

Of course also I'm trying to save money as well but il try help out were ever through cooking or painting walls or couple errands or what ever ! Or even do some drawings/paintings as a thank you !

Primarily the catalyst for me to start this now, is I'm on a 3 month trip through various parts of all the Americas and it's looking like il need to settle down some where for last couple of weeks before flight home on 15th Dec back to Ireland.

If you like listening to a Irishman man ramble on about his adventures ! Your in luck !

Interests

Is Nutella a interest ? As I stated already. Love all things design and art related ! And would be keen on visiting any galleries or exhibitions open.

That said I love going to sporting events too and used to play rugby football and play 5 a side soccer. I love running too and find it great for clearing head and getting layout of new areas quickly. Hiking trails is also something I love doing and on my travels really enjoyed Banff national park.

I love trying out new foods and places that a famous for eccentric combos or new inventions. I'm sucker for all things pastry.

While my life doesn't allow for the time to do it anymore, I used to be a avid video gamer. Mario kart wouldn't go astray.

Of course being Irish I do enjoy a beverage here and there and love me some whisky. Very sociable person and would enjoy , depending on night - sitting down for hours chatting away or out on dance floor trying to pull a move out from here and there.
