Hi Hi!!! I'm Kevin, currently a grad student at the U of Edinburgh working on my Master's in Int'l Business. Originally from Los Angeles, but have also lived in San Francisco (undergrad @ USF), San Diego and a few other places in the US. My background is fairly diverse including finance, military aviation, and emergency medicine (EMT in Los Angeles). I recently worked as a Medical Manager for the Special Olympics World Games 2015 in LA this past summer, which I found beyond incredibly rewarding.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am fairly new to couchsurfing, aside from the occasional friend and acquaintance that has opened up their homes. But just as I have enjoyed with hosteling I find that part of the journey is the people you meet along the way, but meeting someone who is local offers just so much more. And vice versa, I hope I can share my experiences with you, and make some new ones.

Interests

My interests are wide and varied. I enjoy discovering new music (genre borders are non-existent), am most certainly a nerd for anything tech, can sometimes show my gearhead/petrolhead side, but overall my interest is summed up by finding new things to enjoy and learn from.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One amazing thing I've done that stands out in my mind was being a part of a world class event with an amazing cause with the Special Olympics. Working as a manager in charge of one of the largest venues included a tremendous amount of responsibility, and I worked with every aspect of the games. being able to see athletes of all ages from around the world smiling and shaking their hands when I gave them their medals was something I will never forget.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my stories, experiences, laughter, and maybe mutually exchange some new interests. I like to cook, am a very neat and organized individual, and I find joy in being helpful :)
