About Me

Kevin Lunzalu is an environmentalist, blogger, lover of nature, and a believer in humanity and kindness.
He is a travel consultant with Wild World Expeditions, an Eco-tour agency he started with the hope of promoting responsible travel in Africa. His passion for visiting new places, meeting new people, and making new friends let him into thinking of ways on how to do this in a manner that does not harm the environment-and that's why why he founded Wild World Expeditions Kenya. As a graduate in Wildlife Conservation and post-graduate in Environmental Impact Assessment, Kevin is actively engaged in realizing a stable network of young people in Kenya who are passionate about realizing sustainable conservation models, in a bid to halt the current unprecedented loss of biodiversity. Through his conservation projects, Kevin works tirelessly to champion for the inclusion of youth positions in policy-making and use of disruptive ideas to influence political goodwill for nature conservation in Kenya. For instance, he is coordinating a landscape restoration project in Kajiado, Kenya, intending to empower young people from the region to take part in climate-smart agriculture. His efforts and passion have not only seen him travel the world but also earned some accolades. Apart from being crowned the young Kenyan male conservationist of the year in 2016, Kevin has also been nominated twice for national and international awards on conservation blogging, for utilizing his writing skills to actively inspire young people across the world to take action insustainable conservation of biodiversity. Conservation blogging and participation in various youth conservation meetings have shaped Kevin’s communication skills both in writing and spoken English. He also understands Swahili fluently and is currently learning some French.
Kevin is happy to welcome guests from all the world with big hugs and a hand of friendship!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love to travel a lot! As a young professional, I mainly travel to build my career-meaning I need to save a lot to realize my trips. In this regard, Couch-surfing is the best way to actualize my dreams while meeting incredible people who are so full of humanity and who also travel a lot. I also love meeting new people-irrespective of their race, color, gender, religion, etc- as experience has shown me that one gets to see the world in its fullness when they interact, share culture, opinions, and dreams. Couch-surfing is a key tool for me to welcome people in my mother land-Africa.
