I've recently left a solid career I disliked to pursue archaeology, which I have always wanted to do. I am currently hopping all over the globe trying to accrue as much experience as I can, and will be applying to graduate school in the coming months.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

For the time being I am Couchsurfing during archaological digs and surveys in order to save money. I look forward to repaying the favor once I settle down a bit and once again have a place of my own.

My musical tastes span the gamut. I listen to everything from instrumental guitar like Rodrigo y Gabriella (check out Rojo Diablo) to Tyr to Sage Francis. Basically, if it's good I will like it, and if I like it I'll listen to it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Ditched my well-paying job to pursue a career in archaeology, successfully committing financial suicide in the process! I joke, but it is the best decision I've ever made.

Teach, Learn, Share

I suppose I could teach the basics of guitar. I've been playing for about 16 years, though I'm self taught and cannot read music.

I'm a friendly guy, fairly well traveled, and I at least like to think I'm a reasonable conversationalist. Not really sure what to put here. Friendship? Life experiences? All those things you normally talk about over a few beers.
