About Me
Greetings!
I'm a sociable, fun-loving guy who loves meeting people from all walks of life. Traveling and science are probably two of my favorite things to the point where I'm hoping to have a career incorporating the two. Currently, I'm a 1st year PhD Human Genetics student at the University of Chicago, so I'm still getting acquainted with the city and probably won't host for a year or two. Otherwise, I am interested in staying with hosts and getting to know them. When I seldom get breaks from the grad life and the lab, I travel to new places, meet new people, take pictures of ancient archeological sites and even modern architectural wonders, and enjoy the nightlife of the city with drinks, dancing and friends.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I was on a backpacking tour of Europe in 2014 when I met my friend Caner in Ibiza on the way to a David Guetta concert. He invited me to couchsurf with him in Istanbul later on in my trip. This ended up being one of my favorite parts of my trip and I made a great friend from this encounter. Though I still enjoy meeting fellow travelers in hostels, I think couchsurfing gives me the opportunity to really get to know my hosts and the country.
