I lived and studied for my first 25 years in Texas. In 2014, I taught English in a rural Malaysian fishing village. Since the end of 2014, I've been traveling to most regions of the world full-time while running my education consulting business. I fell in love with Ubud, Bali, and have decided to stay.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I originally joined couch surfing while in Malaysia. Our village was close to a beautiful pair of islands called the Perhentian. Many travelers would come through our area and head off to the islands, but there were no hosts where we lived. This was a great opportunity for my roommates and I to make new friends and also show travelers a slice of life in a part of the world that many don't get to experience. My new home in Bali has a spare bedroom, so I figured why not reconnect again with CS.

Interests

I find my most interesting journeys nowadays are less focused on traveling and more with inner exploration. I've been keeping a journal since I left America, and I read widely. I spend my days meeting interesting people, eating delicious and healthy food, practicing yoga, and meditating. I also enjoy freediving and dancing.
