Présentation
À propos de moi
Hello CS community my name is Kevin. I was born in Mexico and I've been living in Spain for the last years, nevertheless my heart will always belong to Mexico ¡si señor!
I have made a new life in Barcelona and ir has been an amazing exoerience.
I would describe myself as a very easy going person, curious, and open minded. Always good listener since "we have two ears and one mouth so that we can listen twice as much as we speak".
The world would be a better place if everyone would be more empathetic and see the world from other perspectives beyond to what they have in front of their noses.
Feminist.
Happiness depends on each one and the way you see the world and deal with the problems, very easy to say, but hard to apply I know. I don't need extraordinary to be happy, as little things can make the difference.
I think work is not everything one has to care about, as our time in this world is limited, let's enjoy and be happy!
Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing
One of the best ways to know other countries, is getting to know their people; what they do, which their values are, how they think about, how they live, what they eat, etc.
I have met several people from CS and I can say that I simply enjoy to be part of this community, wether for what I can offer to others and for what I can learn from them.
Unfortunately during workdays I can not spend too much time to CS.
Centres d'intérêt
I enjoy doing sports, specially swimming, running, calisthenics and going to the gym.
I am very interested in practicing my English, German and Portuguese. Unfortunately my French isn't as good as the other languages I speak, however I can try a little bit.
I enjoy going out in the city either for walking along the beach promenade, having a picking at the parks or the beach, and of course drinking some cañas or vinos with friends and going out to party 🥳
I consider myself a cat lover, actually have one in Mexico named Taco. However I like animals in general and I really enjoy documentaries about wild life. 🐊
I'm an excellent eater. There are just few things I don't like to eat. Of course mexican food is my favorite and I'll never turn back to some tacos with picante! 🌶️

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue
I studied a semester in Brazil in 2015 🇧🇷 which was btw the best journey of my life. I met students from many parts of the world and we became a family as we spend most of the semester together. People in Brazil were extremely kind and joyful. We traveled to the waterfalls of Iguazú and Rio de Janeiro, were I would definitely go back.
In 2015 I travelled to la Patagonia in Argentina 🇦🇷 when I was a student. I had no money for doing tourism, but I could manage to go hiking to the Glacier Perito Moreno and visit Ushuaia. At the end of the journey I was broke and spend one night sleeping in the airport, vbut it was totally worth it.
In 2017 I lived in Austria 🇦🇹 for three months. I did a bicycle trip along the Danube for 6 hours, through surprising landscapes of green meadows, forest, and kilometers of vineyards and small towns.
Visiting the desert of Sahara in Morocco in 2023 🇲🇦 during Ramadan. The biggest cultural shock I've ever experienced. I met an Amazigh guy who was taking care of camels and we had a long conversation in the middle of the desert about our lives. A totally mindset-changer experience.

If you're as passionate about languages as I am, we could talk in English, German, Portuguese and a little bit French.
If time allows it, I can show you how to make one of my favorite breakfasts: CHILAQUILES 🤤
I could show you my favorite places to go out in Barcelona and give you some advise for doing tourism, share favourite bars or restaurants.
I can give you advice if you want to visit authentic and extraordinary places in Mexico 🇲🇽 and Spain too 🇪🇸
Ce que j'aimerais partager avec mes hôtes
OUR VISION:
We receive lots of requests from people who don't even read my profile, and have no further interest than using other people's kindness.
In order that you feel comfy and have a nice experience during your stay in Barcelona, we are happy to share our time, attention and home with you. But you will also have to be disposed to contribute with the household. Our vision of using CS is to create a two-way relationship; we like to give, but we also like to receive. So we expect from surfers not to come with empty hands.
If you have read this and agree with our CS vision, start writing your request with the phrase: I love tacos. Then we will know that you have real interest to stay with us.
We can prepare you a cup of coffee or tea, milk, toasted bread with jam, fruit and yogurt so you can start right your day.
If our schedule allows it, we could go together to some iconic places in Barcelona and depending on the weather and your traveling plans, we could organize outside activities like having a picnic at the beach, some Park, etc.
