About Me

What's up! I'm Kevin - an Indian American who loves exploring different cultures, cuisines, and landscapes!
I'm very laid back but also love meeting and getting to know new people. I'm always laughing and having a good time doing whatever I do. I'm very spontaneous and down for almost anything (not an adrenaline junkie lol).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My friend raves about Couchsurfing and has even done a talk on it in front of hundreds of people! She's my (traveling) idol. I haven't done much solo travel, so when I do I'd like to meet people along the way and "travel like a local." Very excited for potential experiences waiting to be explored with likeminded people!

Interests

Being born and raised in Chicago and spending most of my adult life in Miami, I have been depraved of mountain ranges and rich forests, etc. I absolutely love hiking and am always down. I prefer nature when it comes to traveling, but cities with access to nature when it comes to living. I also love exploring different cuisines, including strange dishes. I am an audiophile and love listening to different types of music, even if I don't understand the lyrics (if there are any).

Music, Movies, and Books

I love hip-hop, but also dabble in 80s music (thank you Stranger Things), South Indian music, classical, EDM, chill music, acoustic, etc

Favorite book of all time is The Road by Cormac McCarthy - disclaimer: the story is alright, but I love his prose.

Favorite movie of all time is The Lion King. Then probably the Christopher Nolan Batman trilogy.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Explored parts of northern and southern India with someone I had never met (but who was vetted by family). We became very close along the trip and are still in contact to this day (7 years).

What I Can Share with Hosts

Always down to buy dinner or supply drinks. I can share jokes, interesting concepts/facts in engineering/medicine/anything else i've picked up (lol), and crazy stories. I can also help out in cooking, cleaning, or anything else in any way, shape, or form.

Countries I’ve Visited

Dominican Republic, France, India, Italy, Mexico, Nicaragua, South Korea, Switzerland

Countries I’ve Lived In

United States
