Overview
About Me
I'm an easygoing German in my late twenties. After uni I decided there must be more to life and set off on my trip through Asia, Australia and NZ. I wish I could keep going forever as there are plenty more places on my bucket list, but all in due time. Meanwhile I enjoy meeting people from all over the world, learning about their cultures in their very own environment, trying weird foods and discovering nature's beauty.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
During my travels many people from different countries have very generously hosted me in their homes and provided unforgettable moments in their cities. I want to give back to this amazing community, either by sharing a good time or, whenever possible, helping other travellers out with a place to sleep, rest and unwind.

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm not a keen reader, but on a rainy day I might stay in and watch some series on Netflix or enjoy a thriller movie or documentary. I'd rather dance to minimal electro than 90s pop, but I'm not much of a dancer. When on the road and/or driving, I sometimes like the Bloodhound Gang, Tame Impala or Woodkid.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Climb Mt Ijin in Java and watching the sun rise from its peak.
Summon up my courage and try half-hatched duck eggs in Vietnam.
Camp in Australia's Red Centre.
Snorkel the Ningaloo Reef and get close to a manta ray.
Share a meal with locals at an Indian temple.
Ride a motorbike through the mountains in Thailand's North...
Actually every travel moment I have lived feels unique and special to me and I treasure them all, so I could go on forever :)
Teach, Learn, Share
Of course I can teach you some German and show you "my Berlin". But I can also take you climbing, cycle to one of our beautiful lakes with you, introduce you to German food and teach you German card games.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm happy to share my travel stories with you and keen to hear yours as well. When I'm home and hosting, you are welcome to find a little retreat at my place, with a nice hot shower and good internet (I know that matters!). If I'm not working I can show you around as well. Of course you can practise your English or German with me. Besides that I can teach you many fun things: eating with chopsticks, riding a scooter, swimming, snorkeling, bicycling, playing pool-billard, playing darts, playing chess, repairing things, cooking German food, gardening and much more.
