About Me

If you asked me this a year ago I would have given a full and detailed answer. The truth is I am trying to rediscover the 'who' that is me. Hoping to find myself (crazy, right?) in doing some travelling.

This is also, and most importantly, about discovering the world and her peoples. To learn what no school can teach and to experience what can only be experienced in trusting the Lord and heading out into it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I went to Ireland on 2013 and guess what I saw while I was with the tour group? Not much of the Irish people. I saw a lot of other tourists doing the same things I was doing.

Meeting the people and learning the culture of the places I want to travel to is more important to me then getting a photo next to some landmark/tourist trap. Experiences and connections with people.

I lost everything I owned two years ago due to an accident. I learned that 'things' are just objects with no real value. People, and the connections we make with those people, the experiences shared and the friendships made are of greater value and no one can take that away. This is why I am on here. To meet you, connect with you and share with you.

Getting a free place to stay for a night or two is great but it is not about that. I can sleep under the stars for free. The connection and experience with you my host is what is desired.

Interests

I am a life saver by trade and loved every minute that I was doing that. My accident two years ago ended that career, sadly. In my free time I work on video production and computer programming as well as being a bit of a gamer. I love the outdoors and even hiked the Georgia portion of the Appalachian Trail despite my leg issues.

Music, Movies, and Books

Classic rock from the 60's and 70's - Movies from the 70's to 80's - And I will admit I don't read as much as I should.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Being able to hold a new life in my hands and then see the Mother's face as I present her newborn child to her. You can't beat it!

Teach, Learn, Share

I have a lot to offer to you and I have a lot learn from you. Together we can share our experiences with each other and with those we meet in the future.

I believe the more you share of yourself with others the more others share with you. In the end we all benefit!

What I Can Share with Hosts

So much. Let's talk!

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, Ireland, Northern Ireland, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In
