About Me

I am a 26 year old half german half american medical student. I enjoy learning about medicine and the human body since it always means learning about my self and about everyone else and a little bit about how the world works too.

I have a lot of interests and hobbys, sometimes I think even to many. I play the irish bagpipe for myself, I play the drums and sing in a Band. I also exercise a lot, I especially like lifting weights and I doing tai chi.

I don't really know why but I love languages. I like watching foreign movies in their original language with subtitles because I like hearing how it sounds. I also dip my toes into learning the basics of languages every now and then.

To me socializing and exchanging ideas is a necessity of life. It's not that I am desperate about it, it's just a lot of fun and helps growing as a person. I love talking about the questions and peculiarities of life, preferably over some beer or whine.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am couch surfing because I think it is the perfect way to travel. It makes it easy to meet new people and it enables you to get to know a culture a little bit better than just doing the sights checklist. While I don't expect anything, I do look forward to having a good time with people and broadening my horizon while doing so.

I would like a lot to accept guests but unfortunatly my roommate is not to fond of the idea. Hopefully the next living arrangement will alow that :)

Music, Movies, and Books

I like most music genres actually, I am just very picky within them. Genres a find hard to find music I like in are Hard metal kind of things, House like stuff and most pop music. But I am always open to give everything at least a listen.

Even though I am a very slow reader, I try to do it as much as I can. The wisdom in books is just to great.

I Don't like most mainstream Movies, and I watch a lot of movies so it is hard to pin down a name of what I like. I am generally open for most genres. What I don't like is Horror, horror movies are all either just plain bad or to scary for me ^^. I liked Snached, birdman, black dynamite, bronson, Frank, into the wild for example and a lot of foreign stuff like korean, japanese, latin american or chinese movies.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

dissecting a dead human body in the anatomy course is propably the most amazing thing I have done

Teach, Learn, Share

I do Thai Chi so for anyone who is interested in learnig a bit I am glad to show

As mentioned I play / have played a bunch of different musical instruments. So if interest presides I could certanly start people of on the basics of those.

I have a driven mind that thinks about stuff a lot. So while I usually don't have the answers I do belive I have thoughts to share and at the same time would love to embrace those of others.

Few things connect people from different places like food does. So even though I pay a lot of attention to nutricion and am a little spartanic to myself - I absolutely love food and am always interested in cooking a good meal together with peaple and maybe learning a little while doing so.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I hope to share and receive good an interesting thoughts on life and the world, new ways of seeing things thought to be already known and just gather up and spit out as much of the world as possible. I hope that both I and a host could share that with each other.
