Greetings! I’m Kevin, a Chinese American from the Bay Area! I’m a rising junior studying computer science and statistics at UC Davis. I actually live an hour away from SF, and most of the year I'll be in Davis which is 1.5 hours away, so if I happen to be in the SF area I'd be happy to have a meal or show you around!

In this day and age, I think being open-minded is one of the most important characteristics that someone can have. It's ok to disagree on something so long as you're willing to be open to someone with dissenting ideas and discuss any disagreements. I have let that idea guide me and I consider myself an easygoing and laid-back person to be around.

Some day I’d love to live in a big city like SF or Boston and be able to host others, sadly I currently study in a college town so that’s not possible at the moment. Hopefully that day comes sooner rather than later, because all of the hosts that I’ve come across have been really helpful and amazing and I hope I can help out others in the same way!

Also I love traveling and experiencing local lifestyles. Growing up, I wasn’t exposed to a lot of media, so I don’t have as vivid an imagination as others when imagining about foreign cities, countries and lifestyles. To make up for this “lack” of imagination, I travel and couchsurf!
