À propos de moi

German is my first language, and I grew up in Europe, but I always went to International schools that spoke English. In my teens, I came over to America, finished my schooling, and started freelancing online as a programmer and artist.

I worked in Video Games for nearly 10 years, before changing careers to Finance for the last 5. In that time, I also volunteered as a librarian and later as a counselor for troubled youths.

In 2019, I visited my family and a lot of online friends I made in Europe and the experience was life changing. Until then for me, visiting another country was just staying in a hotel and visiting tourist places.

It wasn't until I was buying bread for a friend early on a weekday morning did I really see the beauty of the country. I will trade talking to an elderly shop owner about the neighborhood's history over a dozen trips to the Eiffel Tower.

I don't believe it's easy to find and give these moments the time they deserve without an open schedule and no rush. Six years later, I'm blessed enough to be in a position now where I can travel the world and am genuinely excited to meet all my future friends!

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

I can't think of a better way to form genuine and lasting connections with others from a country and culture you're new to.

Living not as a tourist, but sharing everything from a home to the household chores in a foreign country is an experience I'll never forget. It gave me a view of the culture I couldn't have possibly known before visiting.

Since then, I've been addicted to new experiences. I always ask for recommendations when I go out to eat because it lets me experience things I never could have found out on my own.

I believe CS is the same as asking for a recommendation, but instead of picking and choosing which friends I visit and places I want to stay, I let them choose me. I'm sure the experience will be better than any itinerary I could have come up with.

Centres d'intérêt

By far, meeting and chatting with people is my favorite thing to do.

I've never met a boring person in my life and learning their stories is always a joy.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

The most amazing thing I've seen are my parents.

Enseignez, apprenez, partagez

I grew up in Europe and my entire working life was in America, but my go-to form of entertainment was always Asian so I have a bit of a blend of influences and end up always having unique perspectives for most things.

I'm also excited to learn as well!

Ce que j'aimerais partager avec mes hôtes

Beyond conversation, which I love; I'm someone who is tidy and quiet in day to day life. I prefer leaving things the same as, if not better than, how I found it.

Pays que j'ai visités

Canada, France, Hungary, Turkey

Pays dans lesquels j'ai vécu
