I like to 'bushwalk' (Australian for Hiking/Tramping/Backpacking) and run a Blog on facebook called 'Traditional Bushman' on travel adventuring. I also like to cook although my meals are tasty rather than fancy.
I live in the Sutherland Shire, in Sydney's South, in a 3 bedroom townhouse with an indoor swimming pool and gym, located not too far from a train station, shopping centre, cafe, and this coming year at the top of my street a pub/bar.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am couchsurfing to meet people and in the future to travel cheaply myself when I go on holidays/adventuring. Hotel accomodation doesn't mean much to me - it is the experience of my actual trip that is important to me.

Music, Movies, and Books

Varied music but I'm more 1980's than modern.
Movies are also really varied. IF it's a special-effects blockbuster I may not like it - it has to have a goood script!
I don't read books like I used to when I was commuting to work - I walk to work now - but I used to be well read. Lots of adventure auto-biographies, first person accounts, some good Sci-Fi, and the odd self-help.

I've been at 6000metres on a mountain in Nepal (back in 1997) when I was remote trekking there for a month
