Think of something you've done today that was a learning experience, and focus on the growth (the good--growth can be painful, but always for the good) that came from it.

Don't wrestle with the pigs. First, you get dirty. Second, the pig likes it. OR Be the pig. If you're going to wrestle with the pigs, go all in!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

My family stay-cationed a couple years ago. We had nearly 300 surfers through our home in a year (not that we had a number goal). Couchsurfing is the most wonderful way to meet and stay connected with new and old friends from around the globe. Our intention is to create the best surfing experience we can for whoever stays with us. State and National parks, the coast, clamming, Seattle tours, the ferry system, family, firesides, s'mores, woof 'ems, drinks, discussions, and the hot tub! And while it doesn't always look this way (sometimes we aren't completely packed to the rafters!), there is a level of controlled pandemonium that is wonderful!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've been hosted a few times and have been warmly welcomed each time. We host more often, and in large groups occasionally...actually, we host groups and multiple soloists constantly. I am enamored with the ability with which we can connect on a global scale, "one pint at a time".

Interests

Hiking, reading, movies, sleeping, meeting new people, spending time with my family, learning, research, open source, alligators (kidding), family, friends, politics, religion, photography...just about anything and everything!
