Overview
About Me
Currently, on the hunt for a new Engineering job in Sacramento, CA. Just putting that out there!
What would my best friends say about me? They would say I'm a polite, nice guy and also somewhat of an athletic nerd. I love doing recreational/outdoorsy things when I can. I used to be a varsity track runner but I also studied Mechanical Engineering at Pitt (Hail to Pitt!) so you can guess where the nerdiness comes in.
Mostly, I love adventure and need to go somewhere... that's not here and always there!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I have couch surfed twice with the same host. I hope to do more couch surfing in the future! I had a great experience with my host and I hope I can contribute to this community and give the next person a good couch surfing experience as well.
Interests
I'm into a lot of physical activities: slacklining, kayaking, running, basketball, ping-pong (or as the Chinese say... ping-pong), pool/billiards, volleyball, hiking, fastpacking, climbing, mountain biking, road biking...

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies - The Bourne series, The Illusionist, Shooter, The Prestige, Avatar, The Boondock Saints, Law Abiding Citizen, Oceans 11, 12, 13, any Jim Carrey movie, The Italian Job, Ted, Anchorman... it's a long list.
Music - I'm into a WIDE range of music: classic rock, alternative rock, hard rock, a little metal, some pop, some rap, Celtic, Irish, classical, instrumental. There's probably more, but I can never remember.
Books - Not much of a reader but any book by Michael Crichton has always held my attention and I can never put his books down.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Over several years, I vacationed out west to AZ, UT, WY, and CO and I decided that I absolutely love it out there. I love the national parks, the recreation, and conversely the change in the pace of life. In the summer of 2012, I went to CA for 1.5 weeks and it was the best place I had ever been. While I was there, I went to Monterrey, Carmel, and Yosemite. At Yosemite, I was able to get up half dome (definitely check that out!) without a permit and generally just enjoyed the valley that we hiked/ran around. One thing I saw was a group of people that set up a slackline above Yosemite Falls. You know, just a couple thousand feet above the ground.
In the summer of 2014, I got a job as a white water guide and got to pilot a raft with customers and get paid for it. One of the few jobs that I will have gotten paid to have pure fun.
The next amazing thing I am about to do is return to the west. My wife-to-be and I will be moving to Sacramento, CA in June 2017. Life is an adventure, isn't it?
