ABOUT ME

Hmmm... well I guess my friends would say I'm laid back and easily intrigued. I like talking about the world over a good mountain climb or just over at the pub

Don't mind losing sleep for a good night out, but I am also good turning in early with a book or easy conversation. Up for anything really!

I also want to be a teacher, and my current direction is pursuing my graduate degree in Philosophy

(cliche I know, but I think its only cliche because its integrity as an idea has withstood the test of time.)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have only surfed thus far, but my close friends are regular hosts and I've really enjoyed hanging out with their surfers when they stop by.

I've also really enjoyed staying with hosts who enjoy the outdoors

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've always had positive experiences, I mean the fact that people are welcoming someone with wanderlust into their home is awesome enough.

Really enjoyed my time in Missoula, Montana. Even went back there to stay with our hosts on our return trip. Hot springs and good beer, was an awesome time.

Interests

playing and composing music with others.

reading: classic literature, history, absurdist, philosophy (my area of study in school along with neuro-psychology)

cooking and sharing meals with others

just talking to people and being comfortable with discussing open issues.

I also do organic gardening and I am really into environmental science.

Being outdoors and climbing things (really anything outside I'm up for)

I also like to keep up on world affairs and politics, but if that's not your thing I'm good at keeping a lid on it

Music, Movies, and Books

My two favorite authors are probably Faulkner and Vonnegut, but I'll pick up and read just about anything.

My music tastes range from Beethoven, Thelonius Monk, to Led Zeppelin. The three bands I grew up on were Ben Folds, Dave Matthews, and The Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Star Wars was my childhood's moral compass, but I'd probably say my favorite movie is Good Will Hunting

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Saw a man eat an entire Belgian waffle in one bite, that was pretty sweet
