PHILOSOPHY

"Simplicity carries its own complexity". Keeping things easy and simple is often hard enough as it is, so why complicate everything even further? I believe that, somewhere in those five simple words, a deeper truth must be present. I'm just looking for someone to point it out for me.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Just had my first few actually, on a road trip through France. It was great to meet the locals, even though at times they were just a little less tourists as we were. It was laid back and an all together different way of visiting a city. Tried, tested and approved!

Interests

If you can talk about it passionately, you will probably have my attention. For me personally ... politics, history, movies and series, books, the decay of humanity and how to turn it around, travelling and of course, laughing

Music, Movies, and Books

Storywise, the best example of what I like, are the movies of Guillermo del Toro. There's this hard reality, lined with fairy tales and magic, although often rather cruel none the less. Another good example of this are the books of Salman Rushdie.

For music it is rather different: I particularly enjoy rather easygoing and relaxed music. Don't expect me to be an expert though: I enjoy it, I don't study it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once saw the sun rise on the savanna when I was walking, while elephants, girafs and rhinos were marching in our vicinity. It made me feel very small and humble to know that I was without a doubt the weakest creature in a 100km radius.
