I consider myself a fun loving and laid back person. I enjoy meeting new people, learning their cultures and sharing experiences.

Just moved here after living in South Carolina for a year. Although I prefer it up here, I do miss my Low Country cooking. Currently undergoing serious shrimp and grits and she crab soup withdrawals

Love going places and trying new activities, eating unfamiliar foods, and experiencing different cultures.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I love Couch Surfing! I look forward to all the opportunities that this has to offer.

I have been hosting Couchsurfers for about two years, so I guess I am experienced on the hosting side. I haven't had the time to surf as much as I would like. I'm always looking for opportunities to travel and surf.

Favorite TV shows: Bizarre Foods, Mythbusters, Monk, Eureka, Battlestar Galactica(It took some time, but I turned my friends into fans. Now to get them to stop making fun of me for liking this show so much...), The Office, This Old House, New Yankee Workshop, The Colbert Report.

Music: I can enjoy almost any kind of music. I an particularly fond of Bill Evans, Ray Charles, Stevie Wonder, Ella Fitzgerald, Thelonious Monk, Seu Jorge, Anthony Hamilton, Raheem DeVaughn, Antonio Carlos Jobim, Marvin Gaye, Al Green, Nina Simone.

Food: Almost everything. I am willing to try any food. My favorite though is probably Japanese.

Movies: Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb, Star Wars, Office Space, Young Frankenstein, Hot Fuzz, The Shawshank Redemption, Forrest Gump.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Boating through the fjords of Sweden. It was unbelievably beautiful.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am currently learning how to play the piano. I would like to get started with woodworking, scuba diving and rock climbing. I would greatly appreciate any mentoring with these.
