About Me
Hello! Since graduating university, my goals have been traversing the globe in search of adventure and work while meeting lifelong friends along the way. My past adventures included living in Germany for 3 years teaching English, and working in France/Italy/and US in the yachting industry.
I have an incredible love for the outdoors, whether its hiking/trekking in the mountains to swimming in the ocean, to biking along a quiet road for the day. I enjoy sports and played a season of baseball while living in Germany. Along the way while traveling, I'll mix in some tours of a culture's local history (I love castles) and will often finish with a pint of beer at the local brewery. I also don't mind learning a few words from the local language to add and complement the overall experience showing you're genuinely interested in someone's culture. And who knows when it will come in handy in the future! Overall I'm a positive, slightly introverted guy who's looking to create great travel memories for years to come.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Currently I am looking to meet international couchsurfers who are open to hosting me on my biking trip to Europe this Summer. It's been difficult to host guests since my job a yacht does not facilitate it along and living at my family's house in between adventures. It's something I am interested and open to in the future when I finally have my own accommodations.
Interests
Hiking, biking, backpacking and exploring what the world has to offer. Touring ancient ruins around the countryside? Check. Visiting a random museum where I have no idea who the artist is? Check. Learning how to cook a local recipe to create again when I am traveling? Check.

Music, Movies, and Books
For reading I am a news junkie and am into magazines such as National Geographic and Time. I enjoy action, horror and adventure movies. I love most types of music and will almost never say no to trying a new genre.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
An amazing and liberating thing was taking the plunge to escape the corporate world shortly after graduating University. I was working for a corporation, and did not see a truly satisfying long term future ahead. So I decided to leave and backpack across Europe for 5 months with no end plan or career to pursue afterwards. Along the way I pursued a variety of personal goals including a teaching career before currently settling into yachting. The fear and appreciation of the unknown has been a sort of driver in my nomadic lifestyle not knowing where I will eventually end up.
