About Me

ABOUT ME

Enjoys intelligent conversation, so let's go out and fix all the worlds problems over coffee ☕️

Restless entrepeneur, creator of terrible jokes, musician at heart.

(FYI, if you want me to host you, please try to let me know at least a week in advance. Otherwise there's a chance I won't be home myself)

WHO I CAN VOUCH FOR

If you're going to Brussels, check out my longtime friend and fellow musician Bart d'Hondt. He'll love to show you around the city. -- https://www.couchsurfing.com/people/ummagumma1989

Bruges? My man Simon Stabij has got you covered. Better than any tour guide there, he's sure to show you those secret spots you never thought you'd visit. -- https://www.couchsurfing.com/people/simon.stabij

If Ghent is your thing, go talk to Frederik Lombaert. He's a regular host and is all about showing people what a great city he's from.

PHILOSOPHY

Music, Movies, and Books

It switches up, but right now some of my favorite albums are:
- The Wall (pink floyd)
- The Ginning (Stavroz)
- Feuer & Eis (Solomun & Stimming)
- End of an Empire (Celldweller).

I'm reading all the books in the Ender series right now, as well as a very interesting book on NLP.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I travelled to Jordan, we made this vacation to be mostly about deep sea diving. So one of these dives was absolutely amazing: it was a dive at night! The underwater world I've seen there (in the Red sea) was without a doubt one of the most beautiful things I've seen in my entire life. I was completely enchanted by it and whenever I think back to those moments... Wonderful!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you a song on the guitar. Doesn't have to be too difficult. Three chords go a long way. You'll be jamming out wonderwall in no time.

I love to cook for/with people. So if you ever wanted to try your hand at preparing a classical Belgian dish, or want something a bit more adventurous like Thai food, we can cook something together.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'd love to have a nice conversation over a couple of beers. I want to learn about your culture, and I'll teach you about mine.

We can talk about philosophy, or - if you're into it, we can geek out about technology, web development, music, cryptocurrencies,...
