Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To not only see the places that have challenged the test of time, but to meet the cultures that have as well.
ABOUT ME
I would describe myself as someone who loves the adventure of life. Someone unafraid of trying to experience everything that comes my way. And someone that is looking to meet as many interesting people that this world holds.
PHILOSOPHY
There too many amazing people and places in the world to be bored at any point in your life.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
My roommate on Kauai has been a member of CF for years, and shortly after I moved in and became a host with her, I fell in love with the concept. I enjoyed meeting so many people that stayed with us throughout the years. I had my first surfing experience in Brasil and made lasting friends through my stay. And also did so through Europe. For six months I taught English in Brasil and also did some teaching in Indonesia as well, so I love teaching and also learning languages! Now I am heading to Ecuador for a friend's wedding and can't wait to experience couchsurfing again!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I was lucky enough to meet many people as a host on Kauai. Then I had my first experience as a surfer in Brasil years ago and met some amazing people that will be lifelong friends. I'm excited to meet more!
Interests
I love everything outdoors, in every aspect of weather. Love food and cooking and spending time with good company enjoy good food. Storytelling and hearing great stories both fiction and non. Embracing life as much as possible!

Music, Movies, and Books
The amount of literature, music, and film that blows my mind is boundaryless. As for right now, Song of the Open Road by Walt Whitman tends to be the most on my mind.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Commercial fishing in Alaska, counselor at a youth camp in the White Mountains of New Hampshire, Christmas tree farmer in Michigan, doorman in Newfoundland, Kayak guide on Kauai, white water rafting guide in Colorado and a bartender for 20 years on and off has felt like one big experience altogether. I've been lucky to experience things, but I feel even more lucky to feel that my life has never paused like I was waiting for the next thing to happen. Can't wait to see what's around the corner....
Teach, Learn, Share
I have worked many jobs in many places. The skills for those jobs are all worth learning, but the lessons of being a person I took away from them all are what I am excited the most to share.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I love sharing past experiences and working on teaching each other native languages especially while cooking and having a drink. I find doing dishes therapeutic haha, so please fill the sink everyday so I can enjoy doing them in the morning.
Countries I’ve Visited
Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Costa Rica, Ecuador, England, France, Indonesia, Ireland, Netherlands, New Zealand, Peru, Philippines, Thailand
