About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Some people want nothing and are free, some people want to do as they please, I just want to have a good time.

ABOUT ME

My name is Kevin. I live and work in Brooklyn. Let's hang out.

PHILOSOPHY

I am therefore I am.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I feel that making friends is the best way to help out the greater couch surfing good. Anyone who lends me their couch is certainly welcome on mine!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Though I've only surfed a few times, it has always been awesome. No two couchsurfing experiences are quite the same. Can't wait to do some more.

Interests

Art of any kind, learning new languages, meeting people, good movies, new literature, festivals and shows, long trips on tight budgets

Music, Movies, and Books

Where to start? Recently I've read "Running in the Family" by Michael Ondaatje, "Hallucinations" by Gabriel Arenas, "A Small Place" by Jamaica Kincaid, and "Tropic of Cancer" by Henry Miller. I recommend all of them.

I read a lot of non-fiction these days. I like history books like "God's Crucible" by David Levering Lewis and "Unfamiliar Fishes" by Sarah Vowell. I'm really interested in Mesoamerica, especially pre-colonial, so I've been gathering a little library of books on indigenous America.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I crossed the Sahara in a big white van with two other dudes. So simple, but such an awesome time. I'm hoping to do a few more Sahara crossings in my life.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am always interested in improving my world language abilities and would gladly help you with your English (or Spanish, or Portuguese) if you help me with your native or acquired languages.
