Overview
About Me
Always keen to show and be shown good times in the presence of the unfamiliar.
I'm an avid cyclist, shitty boulderer, and am handy with a camera. In my spare time you can find me hiking, mountain biking, falling off climbing walls, hosting massive bonfires, planning impromptu barbecues, making photos/ videos, and traveling to new places with no certain plans. At the moment I have a full time gig producing media content for the biggest bicycle shop here in town and I also run a word-of-mouth freelance media gig.

Music, Movies, and Books
Been into a huge psych rock kick lately, but my taste in music is pretty all- across the spectrum to say the very, very least.
Into all sorts of weird movies- documentaries, short films, b-movies, I'd stay it's an equally eclectic taste. I'll see pretty much anything playing at Laurelhurst theater any day of the week.
It's unfortunately been a sec since I've picked up a good book- I really, really hate admitting that, but I'm very open to suggestions!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I recently bought a dozen of eggs where 8/12 eggs had two yolks? I dunno, I thought that was amazing. I raced Megavalanche this past year, that was pretty cool too (https://vimeo.com/176776719)
Teach, Learn, Share
I moved to Portland a few years ago as a result of some impulsive decisions and a drive to leave the east coast after living on it for 23 years. Even in the short time that I've been here, I've seen the city change quite a bit- so many of the well established businesses that have been around for decades are closing their doors as a result of the massive influx of people- just a bit under 200 people are moving here each day, everything is being developed like crazy, rent is raising astronomically, and a lot of the things which made this city so unique are closing their doors. I understand that I'm not helping this problem out at all, but I've tried my best to do things in the community to support a good deal of the things that have made Portland such an attractive place to live for many people- we can chat more about it when you stay with me. It sucks, and as a result I already know that this is not somewhere that I'm going to end up properly putting down roots, but I want to help people see as much of what made this city awesome as possible in their time here.
That being said, if you're here on business and looking for a place to crash, you're here for school and are just looking to save a buck, or you're looking to tick all the boxes off on a checklist you created solely based on a Tripadvisor page, stay with somebody else!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I've got a pretty good, no-bullshit filter for facilitating awesome experiences in Portland. I'm not going to take you to Voodoo doughnuts (possibly with the exception of the hours of 2-6am), we're not standing in line for brunch or designer tacos, we're not going to sit at a generic brewery to get an Aramark burger and fries and drink $7 pints of beer brewed on the premises- but if we're vaguely similar or relatable, willing to throw a leg over a bike/ stay out late/ find yourself in genuinely strange places, you're probably going to have a really good time crashing at my place!
