About Me
ABOUT ME
I am a young scientist wanting to see Europe before settling into a long PhD program. Having lived for most of my life in the NYC area, I haven't had much of a chance to visit other countries very often. Now that I doing a masters in London, I want to take advantage of my close proximity to other European countries and see as much as I can.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
When I visit new places, I like to really experience the culture, or else there's no point to making the trip. Staying with someone local, and being able to interact with local people, are a great way to experience a city's culture.

Music, Movies, and Books
Classic Rock is my favorite. Also enjoy some metal, alternative rock, soul, jazz and sometimes pop or dance if I'm in the right mood.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
In August, I walked along the boundary between the American and Eurasian tectonic plates in Iceland. It's an amazing sight, but even more amazing when you think about what you're looking at. Millions of years from now, that place will look completely different, because of the phenomenon I was able to observe a snapshot of.
