I like building things; lately, that has been with software. As a kid it was with (primarily) LEGO bricks. I should get back into LEGO construction now that I have an income...

I also like being active. This has ranged from soccer as a kid to cross-country running, backpacking, and lately back to soccer, although now I call it football.

Speaking of football. I like watching English Premier League; more specifically, I like watching Arsenal implode towards the ends of seasons. COME ON YOU GUNNERS!

PHILOSOPHY

Live in the present and do unto others...

If you focus on your happiness now, in the present, moments of unhappiness will be rare and manageable.

Doing unto others as you wish they would do unto you includes the less tangibles like working towards lower consumption and more sustainable lifestyles. I don't know if technology will be able to dig us out of the hole that it has been digging for us, but it certainly won't if we don't try.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have mostly hosted. However, as I am on a tourist visa and have to leave China every few months, it would be fun to explore Asia with the help of some surfing in the next few years.
