About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To enjoy life with others who do the same. To open myself up to surprise and spontaneity.

ABOUT ME

I am an easygoing guy with a pretty chill demeanor but I always get excited by new people, new places, and new experiences.
I love getting into deep conversation and I find that doing more listening than speaking is the best way to get into meaningful conversations.
My interests are wide and varied because I pretty much enjoy anything and everything as long as there are good people to enjoy it with. Consequently, I don't really get deep enough into anything to call it a hobby. I guess you could say PEOPLE are my biggest interest. I am very open minded and I like to enjoy people for who they are, whatever they're into... As long as you're friendly & respectful, we'll get along great!

I'm a pretty tidy person. I will be respectful in your home and I would expect the same in mine.

PHILOSOPHY

Truth cannot be found in a list of rules or values or wise sayings. The values people hold will always start to interfere with each other when it comes to their application. Truth is found in the balance between all the seemingly opposing concerns people have in life. So seek balance in everything.
Everyone has a piece of truth but nobody has it as a whole. Humble yourself enough to trade your pieces with your neighbors and you'll find yourself getting closer to the whole truth.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

So far I've only gotten the chance to host but I am enjoying it so much! People are awesome! Especially the kind of people who are open to meeting strangers and welcoming them right into their lives. My friends all say couchsurfing is the perfect outlet for my personality. I'm looking forward so much to couchsurfing my next trip.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

What opened me up to couch-surfing was a trip I took to Switzerland with some friends. An acquaintance I had there billeted us out to some friends of hers. They welcomed us into their lives, toured us around and showed us a genuine experience of their country and their lifestyle. Their hospitality was something admirable that I would like to reflect in my own life.

Interests

My interests include...
Travel obviously,
Architecture, Photography, Time Lapse, GoPro Videos, Music, Poetry,
Hiking, Biking, Camping, Bouldering, Spelunking, Exploring Abandoned Buildings, Boardgames, Disc Golf, Costume Parties, Dancing Like a Maniac, and Giant Fresnel Lenses.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I lived for 5 weeks with a self sustaining Kibbutz community in Israel. It was the most different and in many ways the most ideal lifestyle I've ever seen.

Snorkeling in Haiti was pretty amazing.
Skydiving, Hang Gliding. Flyboarding.

One of the most amazing things I've seen is Bryce Canyon in Utah. Seriously, I was amazed.

Something about the Royal Mile in Edinburgh also captured my soul.

Cabin Leading at a Summercamp is currently the most amazing/rewarding thing I've ever done.

Teach, Learn, Share

I want to learn to play Piano
I could teach CAD and 3D modeling.

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, Haiti, Israel, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, South Korea, Switzerland, United Kingdom, United States
