ABOUT ME

I just returned to the United States after serving 2 years in the Peace corps in Panama, Central America. My name is Kevin. I'm 31 years young!! Ive lived in Nebraska, USA my entire life. I graduated college on a full ride scholarship with a bachelors degree in Civil Engineering. After college, I pursued my dreams to travel the world, and it was absolutely amazing. I got a job out of college with Delta airlines and I enjoy the luxury of flying around the world for free. I generally traveled once a week and one to two times a month internationally. My goal is to see as much of the world and immerse myself in other cultures. Recently, i have been leaving for longer trips and volunteering for non profit organizations. My most recent volunteer opportunity was in comalapa, guatemala for 8 weeks building a school for a small village. I love that I have absolutely amazing stories of the things that I have done in my life and I love to exchange ideas, stories, and have a better worldwide perspective!!!

PHILOSOPHY

I love life and love to cherish every moment I have. The world is a beautiful place and many people do not get a chance to see much of it. My goal in Life is to see all of the 7 wonders of the world!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I joined this website with recommendation from a friend and it has been an absolutely amazing experience. I love the idea of couch surfing and the opportunity to meet locals and have someone there to show me the ropes lol.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Ive surfed three times and all three were amazing. Ive been to Hawaii and met Justin, Puerto Rico and met Debora and Refine, and I just recently got back from Africa where I met Colin.

Interests

I love sports, video games, clubs, skiing, karaoke, going to bars, and really anything else. I am really open to new customs and hobbies.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've played baseball for 25 years. I take a lot of day trips to fly somewhere and come home in the same day. I flew to Africa for 2 days just because I could and it was free! I rode a horse to a waterfall when I was in Mexico. Ive surfed in Australia and El Salvador. Ive hiked a volcano. Ive rode in the back of a cop car in Guatemala (the second most dangerous country in the world) And sometimes I fly to New York to get lunch and come back the same day!!!

I would love to share my customs and the way that we do things in Nebraska, I know that I have been overseas a few times and things work very differently. Im very curious on the differences between other countries and the United States and I have a very open mind. The world is too small to be close minded.
