About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To make it by the skin of my teeth for the sake of sacred memories
ABOUT ME
I'm a highly motivated, purpose-driven, western-bred European mutt with one helluva backbone. I survive on shear gratitude; day-to-day I get by on faith and a whole lot of hard work. I'm skilled and seasoned at fixing meals, broken spirits and things mechanical.
Albeit I love my hometown and keep good stature within it, all I really want to do is travel about and reinforce positive, progressive communication on a personal level by just being how I know it's possible to be . . . and for that I do nothing more than continue to stick my neck out there and take a goddamn chance for the sake of learning something new. Oh, yeah: I like to write about my misadventurous experiences and make up words when I feel appropriate.
PHILOSOPHY
As far as the universe is concerned it's a fluke that we're even here at all. I think it's a blessing to be on this planet no matter the current condition of humanity. And for what it's worth none of us have enough time rationed-out to act otherwise.
Bad shit happens, love conquers all, Stevie Wonder is a bad-ass, and Ghandi's alright with me.
And god bless Daniel Johnston!
Oh, yeah: I believe in Frida, and I'm proud to have had a delightful crush on Tracey Ullman since I was fourteen.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm so very new to this structured version of what I've grown to be familiar with. Since I was eighteen I've traveled when the wind blew me that way and have taken-in travelers whenever stable enough to do so. I honestly don't know how I've been in the dark about this "Couch Surfing" project. I look forward to discovering the potential I dream this realm to have.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
A lot. A whole lot. I've crashed in stranger's homes for years and have always kept my door open to travelers when I was established enough to do so. And all of the experiences were good to some degree, be it good or bad. Even then there's been a whole lot more good than bad.
Interests
eating food, shopping for food, cooking food, riding bikes, fixing bikes, building bikes, writing out my thoughts when things get rough, journalizing my experiences, dreaming up adventures and doing them - no matter how great or small, standing up for myself no matter what, building campfires to tend them with a simple stick and introspection, dinner parties, pushing my physical and mental limits, keepin' things simple, studying about this and that - in people, books or nature, traveling (of, course), fishing (fresh meat for the fire pit!), listening to anyone's story so as long they're not trying to shove it down my throat, changing the radio station when commercials come on, ignoring television and heading straight for the movie theater, kayaking, canoing, etc., etc. . . .

Music, Movies, and Books
yes, yes, and yes
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I saw the "Thing?" in Texas Canyon, Arizona.
With all sarcasm aside, the "Thing?" represents one of my favorite facets of the human spirit: wonder. As well as the immense, underlying power it commands on such a positive level.
It truly tickles me.
Teach, Learn, Share
I am interested in taking care of myself while taking the risks of traveling. Nutrition, first-aid, survival techniques and mental health are all very important skills that I continue to hone with practice. And it is these things that I could give and receive year-round. Step-up and teach me something new, or listen to how fun being stuck in "the middle of nowhere" can be if you know what to do.
