ABOUT ME

I'm down to earth and always looking to make new friends to share life stories. I love good music and good movies. In fact, I plan on making those two things my life. I love photography and I try to improve on what I know by going places i've never been and capturing it. I want to be a cinematographer one of these days when I get around to going to film school. In a nutshell, I love anything artistic and I attempt to live up to that passion as much as possible. I surround myself with my friends and family because they give my life meaning. I'm currently traveling around Europe and Im loving it. Traveling and meeting new people all over the world is definitely going to become a life long obsession.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am planning on traveling Europe by myself starting in September for about two months and hope to make a lot of connections and friends via couchsurfing. I will definitely help this community grow by offering my couch when I return to the states and get my own place in Chicago, IL.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am currently traveling across Europe and I have couchsurfed in Munich, Vienna, Lisbon, Brussels, Amsterdam, Copenhagen, and Berlin. So far, it has been the best thing I have ever done.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love music. I couldnt live without it. The first thing i ever really listened to was Pink Floyd - Dark Side of the Moon. From there my passion for music was instilled in me forever. Anything from Radiohead, Tool, Zero 7, Sigur Ros are big inspirations in my life, but I am always getting into new artists and broadening my musical horizons. :]

There are too many movies that I love. I am a movie buff. Atleast I attempt to be. I can never turn down a good movie. I love good cinematography and respect a well thought out film. My favorites off the top of my head are Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Almost Famous, The Fountain, Children of Men, Fight Club, Garden State, Little Miss Sunshine, Crash, MirrorMask, Donnie Darko, Amélie, Memento, Gattaca, Finding Nemo, Monsters inc., 12 Monkeys, Se7en, Closer, The Fifth Element, Snatch, High Fidelity, Being John Malkovich, Adaptation, The Game, I Heart Huckabees, The Shawshank Redemption, American History X, Four Eyed Monsters, Sunshine... I think i got a little carried away. If you have any recommendations, I'd love to add to the list of movies that I love.

I was never much of a reader until lately im starting to pick up the pace. Ive been addicted to Bill Bryson books... and books about Europe of course.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've gone canyoning in Switzerland. I dislocated my shoulder half way down the canyon and had to pop it back in so I could finish jumping my way out of there. Canadian girls made me do it. They are dangerous.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm sure I could manage to share something from my scattered mind, as I am constantly teaching myself things and experimenting with what i know in all forms of art, music, and technology.
