About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Live: Be my authentic self! Connect with what's around me.
ABOUT ME
I am originally from San Antonio Rio Hondo, a village in Orange Walk district - it is mentioned in my first references because that is where I hosted my first pair of Couchsurfers.
I am community worker, human rights advocate for the rights of LGBTQI+ persons, AIDS advocate and HIV healthcare service provider, a lover of sunsets, a dip in the water and great food! All these things connect through my work at the National AIDS Commission of Belize as a representative of key populations, and a TV host of one of Belize's most dynamic and trending morning shows. I love what I do! They all contribute to showing visibility of the LGBTQI+ community, our needs, and connect with each other. Additionally, I am able to share knowledge about HIV and link persons , especially young people and LGBTQI+ persons, to health services which is something important for me and my community.
I love being in the kitchen - it is where my love language shows its true colors. I am an acts of service kinda guy and cooking for my friends is what I love doing. I love sharing recipes I find online but mostly, I like sharing recipes learnt from my mom and grandmother - comida nortena de Belize.
There's lots to tell about me.. I'd love to share over a joint, a drink or a meal .. or all of them!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I mostly host however if I were to travel and would like to connect with a host, I would too. I also provide information about Belize to make travel more convenient, safe and memorable.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I believe that every person comes at the needed time and has something good to contribute to my life. My experiences have been diverse, heart warming and spirit enriching not to mention the bonds of friendship that I now hold close. I smile thinking about those memories.
