About Me

Howdy ho!

I'm a 27 years old guy who designs stuff in 3D and machines my creations on CNC machines, I consider myself as someone who tries to put a smile on others' face whenever possible, even if I'm somewhat on the shy side. I enjoy tinkering with any kind of stuff, exploring/understanding the world that surrounds me and goofing around. "If it ain't broke, fix it anyway" is my motto.

...I also love cats.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on couch surfing because where you live looks like an awesome place to visit and because YOU look like an awesome person to meet. Nuff' said.

Now, hurry up and tell me when we can meet!

:D

Interests

Eh, I really enjoy the technical stuff as much as the simple, heartwarming stuff or the silly, surprisingly fun stuff.

•You like rocket surgery and want to talk 5 hours straight of the inner workings of that 100 years old weird Swiss rifle designed by a Mexican General? I'm the guy for that,
•You like cats and want to have an all night marathon of cats video on Youtube? I'm the guy for that,
•You like dads joke and can't find someone to flood with your dubious humour? I'm the guy for that.

I'm like an happy melting pot of Wikipedia entries that kind of want to know what you like too, So sign me up and let's spread the joy!

Music, Movies, and Books

The Thing (1982 version) is the best movie ever. Today's CGI is not even a third of the half of a quarter as convincing as the old school SFXs of that movie.

Anything made by Stevie Ray Vaughan is what I love to listen the most. Everything he makes is just pure genius, I like all of his songs.

The Machinery's Handbook is probably my favorite book. It's old school cool and just so useful to have kicking around when your tinkering in the workshop.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The ever growing list goes as follow

•In 2018, I'm planning a 3 weeks backpacking trip in March-April from Netherlands to Italy (sooo looking forward to that).
•In 2017, I did a 7000km roadtrip to Florida (Disney World, live rocket launch, shooting machine guns and alligators are awesome).
In 2016, I did a 11 000km roadtrip accross Canada and USA (hiking in the Rockies FTW).
•In 2015, I did a 3500km roadtrip with a canoe strapped on my car to paddle the adirondacks (thunderstorm every single nights sucks).
•In 2014, I spent 2 weeks in Cuba and that was nice but so boring at the same time, hence the ever growing bullet point list of mindblowing adventures above ahah.

Teach, Learn, Share

Spheres of knowledge:

What I Can Share with Hosts

Anything you could think of that's nice share really.

•I always enjoy a good laugh, so sharing jokes and humour is always welcome.
•I do like to cook, so I'll be happy to trade some of my home specialties for your local flavors.
•I do like the small silly stuff that put a smile on your face, so you're more then welcome to share your doodads for my thingamajigs.
•I always like to learn about others and make friends, so we can share some time together if you like.
