One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

on a ferry cruise of "doubtful sound" in the southern island of New Zealand, the captain told everyone to be perfectly silent for 3 minutes while he turned off the engine. it was the most peaceful and surreal 3 minutes in my recent memory. you couldn't hear a single thing except the faint noise of the surrounding waterfalls.

ziplining across the cheakamus river in whistler BC wasn't bad either...
