ABOUT ME

i took a very long break but im slowly getting back into it, we moved into our new apartment in Nov. 2021, had a baby girl that same month and were fostering my teenage sibling.
We are a family of 6 + a cat so it's like a circus at my place.

Me, my husband, and 4 kids live in a nice apartment it's pretty central and close to most things.
*mall, geothermal pool, botanical garden, grocery stores, the pearl and downtown.*

My family always comes first so i can't host all the time but when i have time, and things calm down a bit I would love to open my home to the many travellers that come to our beautiful country

Me and Garðar (the husband/stepdad) have been together for a while (10 years) and were going strong, were pretty different but the fun we have is amazing.
I can be very outgoing and social and he is very reserved and relaxed, reaching 30 I find myself calming down a bit and like more to hang out with some chill music having a drink and great conversations.

PHILOSOPHY

a journey of a thousand miles starts with just one small step.

At sixteen I thought I knew everything, but had much to learn.
At eighteen I felt like I knew everything and at that time I sure as hell knew how the world worked..
At twenty-five I admitted my own ignorance and Just tried to do the best I could.
As of right now I'm in my thirtys and quietly freaking out.

I don't know of anything else remotely close to couch surfing that offers me the same rewards.

the people i've met, the things i've seen and everything i have experienced is all thanks to CS. I need this so that i can always know that just because we seem different on the outside we are all very similar. we laugh and feel and sometimes its nice to know that who ever is staying with you might become a lifetime friend cause thats how awesome couch surfing is.

Centres d'intérêt

I feel my interests change much,
now I enjoy documentaries, stand up comedy, Icelandic current events and philosophy... I feel so pretentious writing that I'm more of a people watcher and problem solver,
I've been told I am naïve yet an old wise sole don't know what to make of that

culture and people interest me and i love to hear story's from experience and travels.

I love meeting new people and learning something new or hearing about different opinions, I love having conversations about different things and hearing their argument for why they have this opinion on the matter, be it gut feeling or science :D

I am a fan of comic books i just never have enough time to read all of them, X-men are my classics, Im always in the mood for superhero themed cartoons and movies.

music is music :D I'm always up for hearing new things and sharing my spotify list ;)

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

My first host after a break in 2013 he stayed with me for 2 weeks, the year after that he invited me, my daughter and best friend to stay with him for the summer and then 2015 he invited us to his wedding with his long time sweetheart, altho Lilja could not make it this time, we saw the most amazing american pinterest wedding it was beautiful and i was so flattered that we were invited.
