ABOUT ME

I am doing a road trip around the southwest of the U.S.
I graduated from Post Falls High School in June 2009. Played football and tennis. Honor Roll student. Student Government Secretary. Business Professionals of America officer.
I've spent the last year volunteering and working at the Boys & Girls Club, where I got to mentor kids ages 6 and up. I plan on working there again next summer when I return from this trip.
I'll start college in fall 2010, and I plan on becoming an elementary school teacher and then opening up a Boys & Girls Club later in life.
My family is the most important thing in my life, and I love to spend time with them.

PHILOSOPHY

My favorite quote is "The purpose of life is a life of purpose", and my life's purpose is to make a positive impact, and I'd like to do that any way I can. My integrity is very important to me in that I always focus on doing the right thing when it comes to dealing with people. I trust people and count on them to trust me in return. I really just want to live life to the fullest.

Interests

Football, most team sports, weight lifting. pool, ping pong, bowling, mini golf. writing, grammar, reading. music, traveling (of course), animals, and movies. games such as catchphrase, apples to apples, pictionary. preparing and then eating food. art- both drawing things myself and art galleries and whatnot. Learning about people and just interacting. Learning things about myself.

MOVIES: Man on Fire, Taken, Friday Night Lights, Gladiator, Old School, the Hangover, Borat, Fight Club.

BOOKS: most non-fiction, biographies, books on psychology, the subconscious mind, and body language. Any books about football. Speak, 1984, The Sun Also Rises, Lord of the Flies, Native Son. The Alphabet of Manliness and Tucker Max stories are always entertaining.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I took a trip to Europe in 2006. I got to see Paris, Rome, and Venice. I learned that seeing historical monuments and amazing attractions in person is really different than on a television or pictures. I've also taken a couple trips to Hawai'i and stayed on three of the islands.
