Hello, my name is Dedi and I'm Palembanese. My hometown is Lahat City located a hundred miles away from Palembang, South Sumatera and 800 miles away from where I am right now.

Currently, I stay in Central Jakarta, the capital city of Indonesia and I just moved here in October 2019. I'm definitely able to show you around the town and we should visit them together.

I like travelling and have a big dream to travel around the world so I will have opportunities to meet people from various nations and cultures. I have a philosophy in my life: "there is not growth in comfort zone and there is not comfort in growth zone so I have to leave my comfort zone to grow."

I'm easygoing, cheerful, and friendly. I believe that you're going to know a glance about my personality within 5 Minutes of meeting Me.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

Going back to July 2012, I went to South Korea. I decided to participate in Couchsurfing and experienced unforgettable experience with Korean people. I had surfed with Shin Son for two nights and Kim Dong Hyun for one night. I had also surfed with an American girl, Lauren Cryer, for one night. Therefore, I get into Couchsurfing.

I am interested in learning either local or foreign arts and cultures. It brings me to love travelling. I like watching film as well as TV series, particularly American and British series.

I love all kinds of musics and always enjoy them all. Both Maroon Five and Imagine Dragons are my favourite bands.

I am also a TV series and film geek. I like action, sci-fi, fantasy, and horror genres. My favourite movies are Marvel Cinematic Universe films (The Avengers, Iron-man, Captain America, Deadpool, and so on), Kingsman, Star Wars, Mad Max, and The Conjuring.

I prefer non-fiction books to fiction books. My favourite is How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

In 2011, I was a liaison officer in the 26th Sea Games in Palembang. My job was liaising swimming athletes and officials from Singapore in the 26th Sea Games. Before Sea Games was held in November, I was a participant in Liaison Officer Training from March to September, making me know a lot of interesting tourism attractions, especially, in Palembang.

In July 2012, I went to South Korea as a solo traveler. I got an amazing and unforgettable experience. I not only met local people but also stayed at their houses.
