The telephone.... I have one but it's plugged into a wall so no, text messages, answering machine and if it rings I have to be close to it or it just goes unanswered. I don't own a cell/mobile phone is what I'm saying here. But, I do my best to get back to you in timely fashion if you send me a message thorough Couch.Thanks!

PHILOSOPHY

I'm not dramatic but I am funny. I never get angry, jealous, or act out of malice. I'll help pick something up if someone drops something. I don't just stand there and watch someone struggle. I am not political nor religious but I respect your beliefs. I enjoy the simple things like doing dishes after a good meal or reading a book at the park.

I'm good in any situation but uncomfortable surroundings or "Black Tie" events make me a little nervous. I always know where the exit is and I disappear easily if someone is mean to me. I don't hold a grudge, life's way to short.

I'm as honest as I can be but I will not keep a secret because if it's a secret then you shouldn't be telling me in the first place. That's about all I can say on all of that. K!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm trying to find people throughout my travels and theirs to have a cup of coffee with. Then again if someone is kind enough to offer me their couch I'd definitely appreciate it.

I'm very handy and I can fix just about anything in return and I'm also a builder and I do computer work for a living which I plan on doing to help pay my way traveling. If its broken more than likely I can fix it. I'd LOVE to work in your garden. I've very good with plants and I love to watch things grow.

Hope you'll get in touch with me for at least a coffee. I've done a bunch of traveling but I've never used CS to actually stay anywhere. BUT... I'd love to host and I have a BIG house so no problemo if'n you wanted to hang out at my place for a "DAY or So". Entertainment, I can point you in the right direction but I'm kinda a homebody when I'm at the home front. Thanks!

None yet but then again I if I meet someone that will hang out with me I can really go just about anywhere.

Interests

I like computer work and I'm kinda nerdy that way. Not to say that's all I do. I also build stuff like decks and fences, and renovations. I'm very good with my hands so I'm good at plumbing, electrical and carpentry.

I also know how to weld and I have my Scuba Divers ticket. I plan on diving while I travel so I'd like to hook up with someone that has that in mind. I'm traveling by myself which is kinda scary but I'm an adventurer so I should be OK.

Music, Movies, and Books

Michael Crichton - I've read ALL his works. Ernest Hemmingways - Dangerous Summer because I'm going to go to Spain. Stephen King - because I can't put his books down. Computer books - because that's what I do for a living and I have to keep up.

Sound of Music - because I like the puppet show and it makes my eyes teary. The Fifth Element - because I love
Milla Jovovich and Bruce Willis. I also like Resident Evil because of Milla Jovovich. The Transformers - because it was just too much fun. Meet Joe Black - GAWD who wouldn't like Sir Anthony and Brad Pitt in this, it makes me teary eyed.

Music - I have over 8500 songs on my IPOD and it's all coming with me on my travels. FEIST, LUSH, PORTISHEAD, ALEX HARVEY, MODEST MOUSE, WHITE STRIPES....the list is endless. Jazz bores me but I'll listen to it. I do like the Blues but only a little and I'm not that much into the oldies but I do like Annie Lennox and the Stones.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The Rocky Mountains, A LOT. Lake Morain, Lake Louise and the GRAND Canyon. Vegas at night. Swam with the Manta Rays in Mexico. Sailing on a HOT night in San Francisco Bay. My friends children when I play with them. Yelapa, in Mexico, on a warm starry night along the beach, with someone I spent eight years with after.

Teach, Learn, Share

Computer stuff, How to Origami because I want to learn that more. Gardening because I enjoy playing in the dirt. Building things because it builds character and life friendships. Fishing because I only really have to sit there and enjoy the day. Doing dishes and household chores because the more help you have the faster it gets done and we can both get out to do fun stuff sooner.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I have a nice little house and I live by myself. What's better than new friends visiting at my door? I know Calgary and I live close to almost everything. I can point you in the right direction for what ever it is that you might be looking for. Oh, I smoke (everything) but I'll do my best to "take it outdoors" when I have guests. You? Anywhere you'd like, I'm OK with that. Just wanna hang out at my place for the day and recuperate from your daze adventure? No, problem. I'm always around the house and I just fuss in my yard/house fixing things. Join in or simply sit and chat while I pluck weeds or cut my grass.
