About Me

With reference to the above, I am Rehman Khan, a 46-year-old businessman, working as a sole proprietor/self-employed and the Owner of M/s. Ahmed Mubbashir & Co. My company has been operational since 2005, established in Karachi, and is engaged in the sale and purchase of used machinery, construction activities, and general order supply.
The firm is duly registered with KCCI, FPCCI, FBR, SRB, and PBA, which are recognized organizations of Pakistan.

I am a frequent traveler and have been traveling internationally since 2005 for both business and tourism purposes. Over the years, I have visited South East Asia, the Middle East, Africa, and many Schengen States. To date, I have traveled to forty-six (46) countries, gaining valuable exposure to diverse cultures, lifestyles, and social behaviors across the world.

Apart from my professional life, I have a keen interest in traveling and exploring new places. I enjoy listening to and singing both old and new Hindi songs, playing the piano, reading books and articles, and experimenting with new dishes while cooking during holidays. I also greatly value meeting people from different backgrounds and experiencing their real life and cultural traditions. I love and dare to speak the truth & like others to speak the truth with me.

In the future, after my retirement and upon handing over my business to my sons, I plan to dedicate myself fully to traveling and sharing my life experiences. I aim to document my journeys, cultural encounters, challenges faced, and the true essence of travel, so that my experiences may serve as a source of learning and inspiration for others.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Due to my busy business schedule, I have very little time to explore the internet. Recently, I came to know about the Couchsurfing platform, which I found extremely appealing as it offers an excellent and easy way to experience real life, local culture, food, traditions, and religions, while meeting and learning from people of different countries.
I am on Couchsurfing because I genuinely enjoy connecting with people from different cultures and experiencing destinations beyond typical tourism. For me, travel is not only about visiting places, but about understanding local life, traditions, and perspectives through meaningful human interaction.
Through Couchsurfing, I have the opportunity to meet locals, share experiences, exchange ideas, and build respectful friendships across borders. As a frequent traveler, I believe this platform allows me to travel in a responsible, open-minded, and culturally enriching way, while also promoting mutual trust and hospitality.
I enjoy sharing stories, cultural knowledge, food, music, and travel experiences, and I strongly believe that such exchanges help bridge cultural gaps and promote global understanding. Couchsurfing perfectly aligns with my values of learning, respect, and authentic cultural exchange, which is why I am proud to be part of this community.
