About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Learn Tibetan. Been at this for years and never been successful; now is the time.
ABOUT ME
From Boston, USA. I study Inner Asian history. My native language is English but I speak good Mandarin, increasingly rusty Russian, perennially bad Tibetan, and am now learning Korean. I have a blog http://twosmall.ipower.com/blog/ as well as some old art websites www.twosmallblocks.com and www.ungernandsternberg.com.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I actually have never properly gone through the couchsurfing forums yet, mostly because I'm always out in the boondocks. But god have I spent a lot of time on people's couches over the years...
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Hospitality is the most valuable thing I know. To let people into your house - or to go into a stranger's house - is the willful decision to not be alienated, to choose compassion over fear, to stand up against alienation.
