ABOUT ME

I'm a single mom and freelance web designer, my kids are absolutely the loves of my life. There’s an almost 13 year gap between my middle child and youngest...starting over, it’s amazing how much my little dude feels like a 1st child. ;) I'm pretty laid back, sarcastic, goofy, and I love to cook.

I love interacting with people and getting to know people from all walks of life. I'm a Christian and take God's command to love my neighbor very seriously so that would include you. :P

PHILOSOPHY

I try to live my life in light of the grace that has been given me...to walk humbly and joyfully.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I mostly surf/log in when I'm traveling, but I'd love to meet up with anyone in my area that is visiting.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

In June 2009 I surfed in Oklahoma City - my first CS experience and an exciting one at that. In July 2009 I stayed in Springfield, MO. June 2010: Memphis.

Went to Memphis again in June of 2013.

In June 2019 the kids and I will be going to Cody, WY and Denver, CO.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: I'm a huge fan of old movies, think Judy Garland, Gene Kelly, Gregory Peck, and Audrey Hepburn. I really enjoyed The Holiday w/ Kate Winslet, Jack Black, Jude Law, & Cameron Diaz which is funny b/c I don't normally like half the cast.

Music:
Playing ukulele & guitar
I can appreciate all kinds of music and love finding new artists.

Books:
I don't read much fiction anymore, I don't have time to read as much as I did in high school (three kids will do that to you), but I’ve discovered audiobooks in the past couple of years and am thankful for them.

Jonathan Edwards: A New Biography
The Bible (great, balanced look at the sinfulness of man & God's redemptive plan :P)
Just Do Something (encouraging us to stop making discerning God's will so complicated)

Becoming - Michelle Obama

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The birth of my kids is definitely up there. :)

7 years ago or so I did a roadtrip to Boise, ID w/ my best friend & her kids - in 29 hours. Absolutely the most beautiful part of the country I've ever seen. Loved every moment of it.

4 years ago I worked all day, then loaded the kids up in the car, drove through the night and 14 hours after we left I sat in the sand and got to watch my kids experience the ocean for the first time. Absolutely worth it.
