About Me

ABOUT ME

Commercial salmon fisherman, traveler and mild adrenaline junkie who loves the outdoors and playing there.

PHILOSOPHY

Some quotes and insights I try to live by / up to..

'One does not accumulate but eliminate. It is not daily increase but daily decrease. The height of cultivation always runs to simplicity." -Bruce Lee

"You must be the change you wish to see in the world" - Gandhi

"Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime." - Twain

"Anyone who lives within there means suffers from a lack of imagination" - Oscar Wilde

Now is the Time.

The Rule of Life is simple, one gets out of it what he puts into it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

On the last day of a canoeing trip with a close friend, we were leaving a lake through a slow moving outlet stream. We heard howls and barks in the distance and right then a yearling moose and its mother come down to the shore of the lake. The mother snorts and the little one enters the lake and starts swimming with the sound of the dogs or wolves getting louder. Just as soon as the little one started into the water, the mother turned around and ran back up and over the hill towards the pack.
