About Me

Hello there.

So far, well, I've lived all over the place:

Detroit, MI —> Scarsdale, NY —> Los Angeles, CA —> Amherst, MA —> Paris, France —> Brooklyn, NY —> Oakland, CA

And I've loved it. I don't often feel displaced, but when I do, I actually welcome the feeling. I love having to actively discover and acclimate to an environment.

I've lived in Portland for about a year now, but I still consider New York City — where I lived, worked, wrote, and played in a band for 6 years — my home.

As a guest, I'm a super respectful and warm person. I've been told I'm a great conversationalist, but I also really enjoy silence and just being. I'm pretty balanced. If you’d like to join me on any of my adventures, that would be sweet. I’m also quite independent and will inevitably come with a lot of ideas in mind already, so if you're busy, no worries at all.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Sometimes it's nicer to be in the fabric of a city rather than hidden away in a hotel.
