ABOUT ME

I am stop-n-smell-the-rose-ish, think-outside-the-box-ish, a journey-not-the-destination type, even-keel with occasional fits of friendly frenzy.

I have planed, trained, and automobiled around most US states, some of Guatemala, Mexico, Venezuela, Colombia, and a whole bunch of Western Europe. Lived in France for a while. C'est vrai.

I currently do three things a day instead of four. Soon I may do only two. It's a question of quality over quantity.

I vary my route when I can, not because I think someone's following me, but because I like variety. Similar thing when ordering from a menu-- I rarely order what I've eaten before, even if it's my favorite food. What's life without a little risk?

Gimme, if you can, waterfalls and rivers, the ocean, fresh air, and redwood trees, hold the mayo.

I love making stirfry while listening to NPR.

I live my life consciously and deliberately, for the health of the planet and myself: eat organic, drive bio-diesel, buy local, know that my choices/actions affect more than just me.

I remembered Mother's AND Father's Day this year.

I know to wear layers and to use my knees when I lift heavy objects.

I can take center stage if need be, but prefer to observe.

I'm okay with going to a movie by myself. I have a good time hangin' with me.

I am never and will never get bored. Never. Ever. How could anyone get bored in this world? There is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much going on.

I married the love of my life, Mary, in 2012. We have an awesome life together in Seattle. Love to to travel, eat, drink green tea, and take in culture.
