About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To get out of my cocoon and meet new people!

ABOUT ME

I'm not sure what else I should say about myself. I need some time to think about who I am.2 weeks later...:At times, I can be cool, too damn talkative, free-spirited, spontaneous, insightful, resourceful and thoughtful (if I like your spirit and you like mine). Oh, and I'm terribly open-minded. And just so you know, I'm one of the biggest klutzes ever!!! I once walked into a blind student with a seeing eye dog. My head was glued to the ground and I was lost in my thoughts. Go figure. Sweet (frigging) irony. In general, good manners, kindness and honesty mean more to me than material things. Although I love material things!

PHILOSOPHY

When one door is shut. Look for another. If that second door is shut, then look for a window. If that window is also shut, then return to the shut doors and knock, maybe someone might open one of the doors and be able to help you or point you in the right direction. (Just so you know, I've fervently lived by this old saying and at times it has yielded pure amazing magic in my life). You reap what you sow. (Although that's not always the case in every situation since bad things (can and do) happen to good people and good things (can and do) happen to bad people. That is the irony of life).Try to be true to yourself and be good to others. (I've learned that being true to oneself isn't always the best way in which to live one's life. And I'm also learning to say no to others in tactful ways and to be moderately selfish in my relationships with people even as I try to be good to them and treat them as I would like to be treated)."Remember: Nothing can be called failure until you accept it as such." by Napoleon Hill.(I agree. As I tend to look for the lessons in all of my experiences, especially those that didn't turn out as planned. I've also come to realize that failure is an inevitable and natural part of life as much as success).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Seeing (for myself) and standing (up) close (and personal) to Niagra Falls (at the international border between, New York, U.S. and Ontario, Canada). It was one of the greatest sites I've ever seen! Really!

Teach, Learn, Share

First, I'd like to say that none of us are better than one another in any way, shape or form. That is to say that none of us are at a higher level than the next person. More importantly, I believe that we're on the same level; however, we're simply heading in different directions like the various rays of sunlight.Second, I'd like to learn different languages such as Mandarin, Japanese, French, German, Turkish, etc. and relearn Spanish. (I took Spanish in high school for 5 years. But when you don't use it, you lose it). Also I'd like to know more about blogging, photography, and philosophy. Third, I might be able to share my love and passion for conversating, cooking Caribbean, American, Italian, and other foods with my guests.
