About Me

I spend the majority of my time outside. It's kind of hard not to when your jobs are scuba diving and skydiving! I'm a great ambassador for Vancouver Island because I'm familiar with many great trails that will leave you astonished.

I don't care about about facts like a person's favourite movies, which elementary school they attended, or what they even do for work sometimes. I personally believe that life's worth living for the feelings. Love, tastes, scents, sounds, touches and so many other things you can feel or experience with your body and mind make it worth experiencing. Meeting people, and smiling until your cheeks hurt is great. Being kind to everyone so that in turn you will hopefully get the same is a great way to live.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When the opportunity arises, I do my best to message people with little (or no) experience to get them involved in the community. When I host, I virtually say yes to everyone if my schedule permits.

I have hosted a couple hundred people, have stayed with dozens and looking forward to more! I have had so many GREAT experiences! I've hosted shy people, quiet people, guests who didn't want to interact much with the host, just enjoy the comfort of a place to sleep, and people who were always raring to go out and do something. I have met people I am sure will be friends of mine for a long time, and others that will just come and go. My life definitely is more exciting with CS. I definitely hope to host even more. As much as I would love to list individual experiences, each one has been equally great and unique!

One of my most fun encounters was hosting two wonderful guests who threw me a hallowe'en party because I would be gone for work over hallowe'en. I also had another member go backpacking some of Canada's beautiful trails with me while encountering bears several times throughout the journey.

Interests

I LOVE dancing! Salsa, swing, ballroom, hip hop, whatever it is, I'm up for it!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Having hiked the West Coast Trail. It's the most secluded, peaceful and beautiful place I've ever been in my life. It's a 75 KM trail that runs along the western coast of Vancouver Island and does not have roads anywhere near it. It's litter free, extremely quiet, and full of hard trails to hike. This means that you are either by yourself, or meet great people that worked hard to get to where you are. It's an expensive journey, but worth every penny you pay to reserve the right to do this trail.

Teach, Learn, Share

I like to fly and scuba dive. Those are two passions that I enjoy sharing with guests who have the time, desire, and ability to do either.
