About Me
CURRENT MISSION
One step at a time.
ABOUT ME
I grew up outside of Atlanta, GA until I grew especially tired of it and went to hike the Appalachian Trail. After 2 months of hiking I found my way to Portland, OR. I've lived here for over 6 years, but am currently traveling with my boyfriend Derek. We started by hiking 900 miles on the Pacific Crest Trail and are in the midst of an impromptu road trip around the country!
I like details.
I work as a caregiver and am trying to get into nursing school. I love to make cocktails (although lately I've been too busy to drink much) and bake stuff. You'll find me laughing and smiling more than is probably necessary.
PHILOSOPHY
See the good in people.
I'm very open and accepting of people and their varied opinions.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I came to Portland on a whim and couchsurfed at a crazy house with awesome people. Then I moved into their basement.
Since then I've hosted many others and always had a blast. I love this city, and being able to explore it/show it off to new eyes is inspiring.
Interests
I thoroughly enjoy sleeping. When I am not sleeping or going to school I like going for walks, exploring the city, biking, running, hiking, laughing, soccer!, learning about alternative medicine and nutrition, boozy things, taking late night semi-frightened strolls through the beautiful cemetery by my house, walking around aimlessly, and plotting what I can get into next. And hummus. I love hummus. I don't generally eat meat. And I'm learning Spanish!

Music, Movies, and Books
I saw a movie, once.
The only thing I can think of to say about music is that it's good. It's hard to fit thoughts about it in this little box.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The first time I was in San Francisco my friend and I rode our bikes across the golden gate bridge and took a ferry back to the city as the sun was setting. It is quite the 'touristy' thing to do, but at the time it was absolutely magical.
Oh, and skydiving was pretty damn cool.
Teach, Learn, Share
I have much more to learn, but I've really been getting into craft cocktails. So I suppose I know a little bit there.
Reward goes to the person who successfully teaches me how to play poker.
What I Can Share with Hosts
