About Me
ABOUT ME
I'm considering myself a very patient and relaxed person. I'm quite diplomatic and I never grow tired of listening to other people's stories. I can be shy at times, especially when it comes to speaking in public. I'm a musical person (playing the flute and dancing) and I like to observe people on the streets- maybe that comes with being a photographer. I like travelling a lot and there are 1000 places I want to see and people I'd like to meet. The ocean is a great place to be- thats why I collect little sand-samples of every beach I've been to. I like clear blue skies, the sun and the summer, but it shouldn't be too hot. I also enjoy stormy weather, snow, cold winds... maybe even more than the summers and especially a warm and cozy place afterwards and a hot tea by the fireside.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I did couchsurfing for a month in the US and it was a great, great experience!!! I just loved it!!! I always found a place to stay- sometimes even on a very short notice - and met open minded, interesting and lovely people!!! Its a wonderful way to explore another country and get to see the real life.
I haven't been a host so far but I would like to do so and meet travellers from all over the world.

Music, Movies, and Books
Books: anything from Haruki Murakami (especially "South of the Border, West of the Sun"), Banana Yoshimoto, Paul Auster, Siri Hustvedt, Henning Mankell, Hermann Hesse....
Movies: Chungking Express, In the Mood for Love (any WongKarWai-movie), Night on Earth, Coffee and Cigaretts, Mystery Train, Blue Velvet, Garden State, Smoke, Paris Texas, Walz with Bashir, .... the old classics like the silent movies
Music: mainly classical music like Haydn, Bach, Beethoven, Ludovico Einaudi. But I'm openminded and can listen to almost anything.
Teach, Learn, Share
I could show you some flamenco-steps or tell you something about photography. I can also teach you how to cook pad gra pow- my favorite Thai dish.
I would like to learn some more languages (at least how to say hello, yes, sorry and count....). I'd also like to improve my piano skills, learn how to do swing-dance and irish folkdance.
